Modern eye examinations are more than just a sight test
Advancements in optical technology mean that your eye examination is more than just a vision test. Our trained and experienced optometrist will be able to examine your eyes and detect eye conditions as well as health problems such as diabetes and hypertension.
It is vital that you get your eyes examined at least every two years to ensure they are healthy. The sooner a vision problem is detected, the easier it will be to treat and the greater the chance of successful correction.
When you visit us at one of our practices you’ll be greeted by our friendly team and welcomed to the practice. We’ll make sure that you settle in ahead of your eye examination and feel at home. You’ll be asked a few questions about your lifestyle and health so that our optometrist can conduct a thorough test. This will also help our trained dispensing team when it comes to finding your ideal eyewear.
You’ll benefit from a number of essential health and vision checks during your eye examination with one of our highly skilled optometrists. Using the latest investigative sight test techniques, our optometrist will check your ocular health, test your eye pressure, and examine your visual acuity.
As well as this, they will use some of the latest optical equipment including computer vision testing to monitor developments inside your eye. This will help to highlight health conditions and eye diseases such as glaucoma and retinal detachment.
Once your eye examination is complete, your optometrist will talk to you about your eye health and any concerns they may have. They will be able to tell you about any corrective eyewear you require and give you helpful advice to help you look after your vision.
You will then spend some time with our dispensing team choosing your eyewear and discussing your visual needs so that you find the eyewear that only looks great but feels great too.
Patients that are eligible for free eye examinations with the NHS are welcome at all of our practices and our optometrists will be happy to discuss your eyewear requirements with you
